Mechanic in Central CT
#1

Just bought a 968. I'm looking for a good Porsche mechanic in the Hartford CT area. I've seen other threads that talk about a shop in Danbury. That's not a bad option, but it's 70 miles from my home. Anyone know of anything closer?

Thanks,

Iron

Come to PA!!!
We will look over your car for free and teach you all sorts of stuff.
If you want to bring car for service we will stick you on a train to Hartford and pick you up when ready

+968 for the Barn!

They have customers from farther away than CT...

No affiliation other than a very satisfied customer!

I have had work done on my 968 (and 912) by Chris Musante at Musante Motorsports in South Windsor, CT.

Chris is a mechanical engineer by training and a pretty decent racer on weekends. He is a perfectionist and a gentleman. I highly recommend.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I took a trip to Musante Motorsports this morning. It looks like a great shop and it's only 7.6 miles from my place in downtown Hartford!

Sounds like you found a place. I would highly recommend My Garage in Naugatuck Ct. Lee is a factory trained Porsche mechanic. He started at a Porsche dealer, and back in the late 80's early 90's, he opened up his own place. Of course he is about 4 blocks from me!
