WTB: 968 Owner's Manual Package
#1

I have a very nice Owner's manual for my 1992 968, but the rest of the "Package" has disappeared!

That includes the Cover/Holder and all of the other booklets inside...Service Booklet, Maintenance Booklet, etc.

If anyone has those items, I would really like to buy them to complete my car!

Thanks in advance!

You're not alone...every now and again, one pops up on eBay but that's about it as far as I've ever seen. Good Luck!

Yes, I have been chasing one that was sold on eBay to a reseller in Michigan, but I can't get them to sell me the items... I think they bought them for an established customer, and won't admit that they have been resold... probably for an exhorbidant price in any case! I saw just the Owner's Manual going fro $169.95!!! Glad I have a very nice one of those!

I <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> , but <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/huh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> , how much <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/ohmy.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ?!!!

That seem crazy for a manual <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wacko.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> , how much is it from the dealer?

And how much is a compete set?

Pernhaps I misunderstand, but isn't the Owner's Manual (only) available new from Sunset for around $25?

Yes, the Owners Manual and the Service Record are both available from Sunset Imports, but they have to come from Germany and I waited almost a year for the Service Record booklet. Try all of the Porsche Salvage yards, they may have what you want from a wrecked 968. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

I'd be happy if I could simply find the plastic spiral hinge material to replace on my existing manual. All the doner notebooks I find use metal hinges and with different spacing.

I now have everything but the Service and Maintenance Manuals, thanks to a kind 968er!

But, I would still like to find those... So far, the wrecking yards have come up empty.

I will continue to search! Is the dealer Sunset Porsche? email address or phone number? Thanks!

Not yet! BTW, I discovered that both the Service and Maintenance Booklets are still available from Porsche for a few bucks each...

Ordered them both and we will see how long to get here from Germany!!!

The Service and Maintenance Manuals arrived from Germany in one week from the day they were ordered!

Dusty but otherwise as new condition! Can't complain about that! But; a Vanity Panel I ordered came in looking like it had been dragged thru the mud and with one end broken! Parts Manager insisted on sending it back and getting a proper one, and sending it to me free of charge! He was very embarrassed that it would arrive in such a decrepit condition!
