Interesting, but the ad could have been written better:

"you immediately notice the two NACA ducts in the hood" - well no, there aren't any.

"Displacement:182 cu.in. or 2990cc" -- well no, probably not with the 2.5L 944 block

I know the ad qualified that section with "the original car", but it seems misleading to have 2 sets of conflicting information.

And "SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR I HAVE PUT AMOUNT 30000 INTO THE CAR". Why wouldn't somebody spend the additional claimed $2000 into it to finish? It is a suspect situation as I read the ad, "finish" the car is certainly a judgement call, and will probably cost way more.

It is certainly unique to run the exhaust through the passenger compartment, must be to cut down on wind resistance under the car

That could be a good option to commit suicide because he is in over his head with the build.

i think we've pointed this out as an example of the kind of ad that is not what we like to see, and a seller grossly misrepresenting the car, and as such, i am inclined to leave it in the buyers guide if somebody wants to cut and paste the ad, and not just the link, so that others may learn from this - later, i will edit the title for that purpose as well

a list of all the things that are wrong with it would be good - please note them as you think of them - i will then edit the list, making it comprehensive, and pin it as a "don't buy into this kind of ad" kind of thing

He even mentions speedline wheels. Very misleading.

If one could snag it at less than $5K it may be a good buy. That being said it is in Montreal, so the car may (or may not) have lots of corrosion issues amongst other potential amateur build mistakes.

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1993 PORSCHE 968 WITH A 103000 MILES BLACK ON TAN 6 SPEED GEARBOX .

I BOUGHT THE CAR OVER 2 YEARS AGO AND HAVE CONVERT IT INTO A 968 TURBO RS FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE 968 TURBO ,IT IS THE THE MOST UNIQUE AND RARE CAR THAT PORSCHE HAD BUILT BETWEEN 1993 TO 1994 THEY HAD ONLY BUILT AMOUNT 60 CARS ONLY.

SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR I HAVE PUT AMOUNT 30000 INTO THE CAR THIS PROJECT IS 95$ DONE BUT AT THIS POINT I CAN NOT FINISH IT SINCE I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME AND ALSO BEING INVOLVED WITH OTHER CAR PROJECTS BUT THE CAR CAN BE FINISH BY US OR YOU CAN COMPLETE IT YOURSELF IT NEET AMOUNT 2000$ MORE TO DO THE REST.

HERE WHAT I DID I EXCHANGED THE 3 LITER ENGINE FOR A 2.5 944 TURBO AND I MODIFIED THE 2.5 ENGINE INTO A 350 HORSE POWER BEAST HERE ARE THE PARTS I PUT IN

--CUSTOM MADE TURBO CHARGER FROM LINDSEY RACING GOOD FOR 400 PLUS HP

-- 2.5 1988 TURBU ENGINE WITH 59000 KILOMETERS ABOUT 40000 MILES

-- 944 INTERCOOLER

-- RACEWEAR STUDS

--MODIFIED HEAD ALSO COMES WITH A EXTRA HEAD

--MODIFIED WASTE GATE FROM 944 TURBO

--CUSTOM BUILT FULL EXHAUST

--944 COMPUTERS WITH FACTORY 968 RS CHIP

--FACTORY 968 RS FLYWHEEL VERY VERY RARE TO GET FROM PORSCHE MOTOR SPORT

-- BRAN NEW ADJUSTABLE KONI SHOCKS AND HYPER COIL F1 QUALITY SPORT SPRING

--HKS BLOW OFF VALVE

--CUSTOM MADE HARD PIPES TO INTERCOOLER AND TURBO

--MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR

---CUSTOM MADE FRONT BUMPER TO PLACE THE INTERCOOLER LIKE THE FACTORY ONE.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IS TO INSTALL THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WHICH IS NOT A BIG DEAL PAINT TEH FRONT BUMPER ADD THE VACUME HOSES SO U NEED TO PUT ABOUT 2000$ AND U HAVE 350 HORSE POWER MACHINE WITH A 6 SPEED TRANNY.

THE INTERIOR IS VERY GOOD JUST NEED TO BE CLEAN OUT .

THE CAR FAX IS CLEAR ON THIS CAR NO ACCIDENT.

THE ORIGINAL CAR

Bet you probably didn't know about this one, did you? This is one of my favorite Porsche, up there with the 959. This beauty turned my head from the very minute I saw it. If the 968 is quick, then this Turbo 968 is blisteringly fast.

Visually this car is almost identical to the normal 968 except you immediately notice the two NACA ducts in the hood. A dead giveaway for a turbocharged engine. Next you see the front chin spoiler, and the huge, polished, 3-piece turbo wheels from the 911 Turbo S. As you move to the rear of the car, a large, adjustable spoiler attracts your attention. The rear script does not say "968", but "turbo S" instead.

"CUSTOM BUILT FULL EXHAUST" is an understatement.

Just tuning in. I got this far "I BOUGHT THE CAR OVER 2 YEARS AGO AND HAVE CONVERT IT INTO A 968 TURBO, RS FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE 968 TURBO ,IT IS THE THE MOST UNIQUE AND RARE CAR THAT PORSCHE HAD BUILT BETWEEN 1993 TO 1994,THEY HAD ONLY BUILT AMOUNT 60 CARS ONLY." and had to post. Cant wait to finish it. Its kind of like a really bad movie that passes over bad to being so bad that its entertaining. Like kung Fu hostle.

and IMHO, one of the top 5 most beautiful cars EVER produced. May be top 3... But, sadly it's soooo underpowered ...

They really had the technology to give it significantly more power, but then again so did Porsche for the 968 so who knows what the reasons to keep

it relatively civil might have been
