WTB a car I know nothing about
#1

Hello,

I am thinking of buying a mid 90’s 968. I am not familiar with the 968 models, I have a few other models and I really like the looks of the 968. Any input would be great.

Thank you!

Start here:

Then do searches for things like variocam, ring and pinion, timing belt

Great cars, some well known issues, get a good one and maintain it and you'll be in good shape.

yeah - seriously, we could all jump in and give random input, but it would be a lot better to browse around this site first and then have a list of more specific questions that we could answer - there is a ton of information here, and the search engine is excellent - if you have questions, do a search first - it will probably give you the answers to most of them pretty easily

after that, we are all more than happy to help

another great site:

the general advice is to make sure you drive a few examples, be patient to find the one you want as they are a limited-production car, and get a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) from a mechanic who is knowledgable about 968's. You can get help finding such a mechanic from here and the 968.net forums also.

Where are you located?
