Looks like the garage is German ?
#1

Just noticed that the garage mainly contains German cars (Porsche and Volkswagen) a Honda and a Subaru.

I am not from the US so I wonder if people owning a Porsche tend to buy German/European cars as their 2nd/3rd ones as well ?

I can't speak for everyone but I've also owned two BMWs and two Audis. Our family car now is an A6 Audi Avant (wagon). Like many Americans we also have a SUV. In my case, the SUV is US.

I have other cars, but I figure nobody wants to see a GMC, big block, longbed, 4x4 on a Porsche forum!

Why not ? As a car enthusiast I would be interested in any car that somebody owns who also drives a 968.

Actually it is very interesting how many people are driving their 968 on a daily basis and how many are saving their 968 for the weekend.

Perhaps I am too curious ...

[FONT=Times][SIZE=1]It's been a while since I owned an American car. My other car is an Infiniti G-35, fun to drive but my wife likes it too. I'm a lifelong sports car nut. My first car was an Austin Healey 100-4, my second a Volvo P-1800. While I have owned american cars since then, and a 240-Z, I am enjoying my 968 the most.

The only reason I list the Subaru is because it is my very first car, and I still love it. It's beat up and is a constant work in progress, but the fact that I still have the car I bought at 16 with money from my part time job flipping burgers makes me smile. It really does have that many miles on it too!

I'm a new guy here...

Have my fourth 944('85), a 968 Cab('94), a Jeep('88Comanche), an early off-road only Bronco(tittled'66?), an Explorer Sport and a Honda (it is hers)...

I guess you would say my garage is full of toys!

Current inventory is a '02 Chevy Avalanche Z71 and an '02 VW Passat GLX, plus the 968. The 968 is a blast, but with me, I'm never sure how long the luv will last with any particular car. The car I miss the most was a '00 Audi S4 - deceptively fast and quick off the line. The BMW Z3 roadster I owned was also a blast to drive, but too %&$ small for me.

Well I'd add my classic American muscle car, but the garage only goes back to 1980.

I'm slowly restoring a 69 Pontiac Firebird 400. With suspesion and engine mods, it's

faster than my 968, but is very thirsty for fuel.

The 968 is my fair weather car, [I don't thrust other drivers in the rain], so I also have

a 94 GMC Sonoma 4x4 with the Zr2 O/R option and H/O Vortec V6.
