My 968 is in the garage!!!
#1

Well She is in the Garage!!! Nicole’s nephew and two Nieces came into town with their parents for the weekend to visit the ZOO and back to school shop. So we spent the entire weekend having fun with the kids... I AM EXHAUSTED! They had to head back to Nebraska at 5PM so it gave me a little bit of time to get the 968 washed and into the garage. I still need to do a detail although the paint is in very good condition. I found all of the scratches, chips, etc. nothing major pretty good shape for an 11 year old car.

Here she is in the Garage... I still need to get all of my tools in order but the garage is pretty much done. I will share some photos when I get the place cleaned up.

Hey, uh... do ya think... uh... can I bring my car over to do some work. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Seriously, though, it looks great! Gotta love the Guards Red Coupe, too! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Congrats! You got a new car and by the looks of it a real beauty! I can't wait to see it in person.

OK, Eric - everythhing looks beautiful. But, inquiring minds want to know - what are the plans? You know, what stuff are you going to do? I can't believe it's going to sit in its "stock" mode for very long.

Thanks guys! However I don't think I am going to keep her. This car is too rare and the condition is too good for what I have planned. I enjoy modifying and playing with these cars to much to leave them alone. I plan on tracking the car and of course modifying it. I bought the car at a good price so I think I can turn around and sell it to that person who has been looking for this exact car. Someone who will apreciate the raw beauty. I think the car looks stunning. I would not change a thing. Then I would be bored. This is my hobby changing the car and trying new things. I will end up keeping it if I can't get the premium that i think she deserves. I think it is worth every penny. Will see.

Krameric.... Yep sold a year ago this month. I do miss that car and regret selling her. It sold for $55k and today you can pick up low mile 01' 996's in the mid 40's... So I guess I did pretty well.

Good call Eric. I have been waiting to see how far the 996's will go with the 997's out now. Are you going to get another P car? Any big plans for your next project?

The 996 are getting ridiculously low. I just saw a 94K mi 01 Turbo on ebay for a buy it now of $57.5! That is nuts. I will be in another Pcar... I am a brand whore, Next project... will see <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I thought I bought a great and beautiful '94...and I did...but it's still not in the same league as some of the concours cars I'm seing on this site. Maybe I'll keep my black 968 as a daily driver and get another that's nearly concours. Mine could be there but it'd require new paint and a few smaller things. I'm concentrating on the mechanics, leaks, etc. right now. Great cars on this site!
