Looking for a good 968 block
#1

Need another block for my engine rebuild. Had a crack in mine. Would like it to be score free and obviously no cracks. Any help would be appreciated. Just the bear block.

I talked to Henry today, and he has a rear block. 818-497-5119

what's a "rear block"? is that some conversion to put the engine in the back?

That's funny, I just figured he needed a block. I've never heard of "rear block" either. Whatever it is, Henry has one! Lol

yeah - i would find it hard to believe that he would want to strip the motor though, and sell just the block. maybe. worth a call.

He didn't say "Rear Block" he said "Bear Block" which means he either wants to be able to deter large Grizzlies from messing with his 968 or he meant to write "Bare Block", meaning he doesn't need all the other stuff you have to bolt onto the block the make a "Block" an "Engine"...

Hope that clears things up,

Jay

Not sure as the previous blocks were 1) mine and 2) IMA's. I haven't found one yet but Ryker's lead could be a solution as he has a block that has already been sleeved and built up for a turbo. It is a 3.2L. He wants $4k for it. This could save me some time and money. I'm going to have Ican call him on Monday to get the details and see if it is something he can use it.

watch out for cooling issues on an oversized engine. i've read about problem with that, even normally aspirated. turbocharged will make even more heat issues. talk to ivan.
