Koni's
#1

Does anybody have a set of Koni's they want to get rid of? I'm trying to do my suspension slowly but surely. Being 17 and having a part time job doesn't help me at all <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />.

Thank you,

Alex

^sorry forgot to mention that they have to be in good condition....

lol - how weird is this? i only made the decision today

i will in a couple of weeks - i am changing my front struts to something else, so my yellow sport cartridges will be up for sale - they are in excellent shape, and don't have many miles on them - haven't set a price yet

i also have a pair of used koni sport rear shocks left by a buddy to sell for him - there is a thread for those in the parts section

we have to start defining front or rear

for the front, it's the yellow koni adjustable cartridges - you have to install them in your housings - if you want different springs than stock, you have to add the threaded collars and springs

i have a few different springs here too, but no collars

for the rear, it's just the yellow adjustable shocks - see the thread

Im looking to do front and rear but ill start with the front. I would like to have other springs than stock ones. But if you can give a price on springs and shocks that would be great....

Thank you

Alex

well, i guess we need to figure out what rates you want - this also affects things in the rear, as you need to change rates in concert there

i'll go down to the cabinet to see what rates i have left - i bought a bunch, trying out different rates for my car, until i figured out what i wanted - i only sold a couple of sets, so consquently i still have a bunch that are all but new sitting in boxes

I may interested in your front shocks too, with slightly higher rate springs.

On side note, I've been unable to find an oil rear coil-over - all the shock sets seem to have gas rears[?]. I'd like to retain the torsen bars but read somewhere that re-indexing is required if coil-overs are used[?].

mark - all too true - starting to get fun to drive though

pete - i have a prototype setup for the rear fuid type coilovers on a car now - working VERY well - one part left to work out in quantity and i will be able to release it as a kit - straight bolt in setup - no messing with torsion bars - you will be able to put whatever spring you want in there - it will not raise the car one bit, unless you want to, but won't be able to be lowered beyond what the eccentrics will do - haven't worked out cost yet

i think i'm ordering the new struts for my car today, and should be installing them as soon as they get here - just need to lift her up to get a measurement first

Hmm interesting...

By chance does the design employ spherical ends?

re: spring; Any idea what the rate is of the MO30 helper spring? If i recall it was designed to work with the torsion bars.

i have been told that the M030 helper is about 70#

the kit will not use spherical ends on a helper setup - it will on a torsion delete setup
