I did some recent digging on this car and there's a lot more information about it around the web if you have the patience. One of the highlights is double wishbone suspension at all four corners while the lowlights are race results. The thing came in pretty much dead last for 1.5 seasons before they threw in the towel, but that's only when they didn't DNS or DNF. Ay ay ay.

Arktech had a street version of their fenders out a few years ago that had the 993 headlights. The street version was not like the wide-body race stuff, but I think was available in both glass and carbon versions. Anybody else remember these?

i remember them well. i also remember them being $3k.

stuff like that always looks good in photos, but up close the flaws show up. it's really hard to get it right. the hardest part is matching things left to right on a compound curve, and doing it without waves. i've now seen 3 cars in person with headlight conversions, and close up pics of 3 others, and none of them looked right. i was pretty sure i wasn't going to get it right on the project i was doing too, which is exactly why i cancelled it. it didn't help that i wasn't going to lose much weight either, which was the primary motivator for doing it in the first place.
