Intermittent Instrument Warning Lights
#1

I have an issue with my instrument warning lights. Most of them light up for a few seconds upon starting the car, and then turn off, as they should. However, three of them light only occasionally. At first I thought it was the bulbs, but the same three do light together with the rest occasionally. One is the brake pad and one the oil pressure. I don’t remember what the other one is.

Is there some type of relay or switch that controls this group that may be bad? I cannot find on the wiring diagrams what controls this test of the warning circuits. The other lights always light as they should. If there were a ground problem, I would expect it to involve the other warning lights, unless they have a different grounding point.
