Driver's side front, heavy plastic rubbing wheel?
#1

First of all, what is it and why is it there?

I am talking about a heavy grey rubber or plastic peice connected on both sides to the front wheels. It snapped on the driver's side and now rubs and makes a hideous noice when I turn the wheel.

Is it to channel air to the front brakes?

Is it easy to fix or expensive?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Steve

(Finally a nice night in the low 70's when I could enjoy a ride through the country!)

Steve,

Yes, it deflects air onto the brakes. Porsche calls it an air baffle.

It is easy to fix, part number is 944-341-051-01 for the left side; 052 for the right.

Pelican has it for $ 17.92
