Hehe, actually during the lane change exercise the R8 kept hitting cones. The same cone to be precise... that was after he took the tape off hehe. I tagged the same cone too; left a nice mark on the front bumper and on my rims.
The course was pretty tight, but really it was more technical and should have been taken a bit slower. It was more or less a combination of the single technique lessons taught through out the day. Since I have attended a course like this before, and had a bit of track time, I had a better feel for things. But sometimes I did end up getting a bit sloppy
Yeah, people comment on the 968 when I'm there. "Hey, that's a 968 right? cool!" "Not many of these around!" And when I tell them I have a 3L 4 banger a lot of them get wide eyed "Really?! 3L??" People also say that the car is quick for a 4 banger, and sounds good too! Last month when I went to this event a guy in an S4 took a ride in the passenger seat, he told me it was one of the fastest 4 bangers hes ever been in, aside from the Elise
Oh yeah, about the car balance; my car isn't really stock on terms of stiffness and shocks (check my sig for list of mods). I still find that there is quite a bit of roll on the car, but not nearly as much as there was before all these mods. It's comfortable on the road however, but I think it could stand to be lowered an inch just to give it that extra bit of stiffness. I know tuning suspension is an art, and I don't want to make this a race car or over do it and jeopardize too much of the comfort level, but I think it'll make it handle a bit better and look better too
