I'm in southern Maryland and bought a '92 Cab, Guards Red, at the end of summer. Haven't been able to drive it as much as I'd like yet, as I much prefer top-down and the weather hasn't been cooperating. Even just walking past it in the garage makes me smile though. I definitely understand the obsession!
