Hi all,
I started looking around at the heater/blower vacuum lines after repairing the windscreen wiper linkage the other day, as I noticed that the short vacuum line connected to the 'T' which appears to feed the recirculating air flaps goes nowhere after joining the pass-through on the blower housing. Further investigation around the various lines revealed that at least one other line at the rear of the engine (blue plastic) is also floating around in the breeze and only connected at one end.
I looked at the parts catalogue diagrams for both the 944 and the 968, but they don't seem to bear much resemblance to the car - it looks like she has many more lines than are drawn and they don't all appear to be connected where the diagrams suggest they should be, although the windscreen demister slider and hot/cold knob work (the only controls which don't are the footwell slider and the recirculating air button). Does anyone have a clear diagram of the vacuum lines for the basic heater/blower I could use to see what's what?
Thanks,
Michael
