Further explanation on my cab top that doesn't reach the windshield and thus can't lock down. The top was a B- replacement - it has shrunk and one catch had been sheared off by PO who tried too hard to get it shut and locked.  Also from Ebay a pair of "convertible top locking latch brackets". To get another 1/8'' length I filed down a female bolt head. Still requires some weight on the top to push it the last 1/8 to lock - but it does lock securely. Not driven in rain so the top is only used once or twice a year.

New radio and power boost antenna that sits inside the windshield frame - yes it looks a bit hokey but is a 100% improvement over the in-glass antenna.

Check out this info on cab tops. You may find an adjustment other that the rigging you are trying. It is for the 944S2 but is the same as the 968 cab
