Heater Control Valve: vacuum tube connection
#1

Hi all,

I was working on my car preparing to replace the oil housing gasket and accidentally dislocated the vacuum tube that goes from the heater control valve (that is number 25 on the diagram 105-05) to somewhere behind the distributor. I do not even know if the tube broke or just got disconnected: there about 3 inches of tube left on the valve. There is no way to see where it was connected as it is pretty crowded in that area, as you all know. So I need help in clarifying the following:

1. Did the plastic tube break (meaning, what is the normal length of that tube)? Like I said, there are about 3 inches left on the valve.

2. Does anybody know the part number for the tube? I did not find it in the PET

3. Most important: where does the vacuum tube need to be connected?

I searched the forum but did not find anything related to the vacuum line from the heater control valve, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

It goes all the way back to the firewall. Just find where it broke off and use a piece of silicone hose to replace the broken section.

Be aware it may not have broken but just come loose. Mine is actually 4 pieces and it all looks factory! Flexible hose to solid after the distributor to flex around the first intake and back to solid under the manifold to the tee.
