A few years back my hatch motor quit, and I bought a replacement on eBay. That worked OK on the cockpit switch, but when I operated the key-driven latch in the deck, I blew the fuse. Actually, several fuses. I tried replacing the microswitch operated by the deck key (it got really hot when I operated the deck key) but still blew fuses. My garage looked at the hatch issue and suggested I have a 944 motor. Does the 968 motor have a specific part number? I could find it on my PET file.

I am pretty sure they are the same part.
