Any opinions on the use of liquid fuel injector cleaners from auto parts store, strauss, auto zone etc.

Worth to using them or are they just high octane gas?

however, i have never seen anything work as well as a run-rite treatment - contact pete at rs barn, and he'll fill you in on the details

I have used Chevron Techron and I also use Chevron Premium gasoline. Never any problem from the injectors or carbon deposits. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

I've heard (but not tried) a can of Sta-Bil will clean injectors pretty quickly. Anyone know?

Harvey,

I use Sta-Bil in a lot of my small engines (tiller-splitter-generator) in order to prevent the fuel from going bad. I never thought it was made to clean the system. It would be cheaper than Techron.

By the way...I added Techron to my truck and the check engine lite came on right after. Wonder if it messed up the ox-sensor?
