92/93 Fuel hose differences

Here's the link to parts diagram.



I'm planning on changing the fuel filter and by the looks of them, I probably need to change the connecting hoses too. The diagram above lists two versions for fuel lines number 3 and 17 - one for 92 and one for 93+. Anyone know what the difference is?

According to PET it's not a superseded part, so you would want to order the part number for the 92. Not sure what is different about it. Also #3 is a hard line, so that is probably not one you want to replace.

Yes. One would think that since 3 and 17 connect to each other, the difference is on either on their relative lengths or connectors or both?

Interestingly when looking at the fuel lines it looks like the change was a cost saving measure. In 92 there are different lines for cab and coupe and even strangely enough in 92 they even had a different fuel hose for the M030 model versus non M030. Then in 93 they standardized the fuel hoses to fit all the 968 models.
