Hard starting

I am having a starting problem after driving for 10 to 20 miles and shutting off car for short period of time.When cold it starts up with a few cranks runs fine.The problem does not happen all the time but whenit does will have to crank for 5to 10 seconds.Any thoughts please? Swany

had the same problem. ( and for some reason it was worse when the weather was hot ). I changed the DME Relay and the problem went away. not sure this will resolve your issue, but for $20 and a 30 second install, can't hurt to try, IMO

I did replace DME relay about 2 years ago.The hot weather does seem to make the problem happen more often I will try my spare relay.Thanks Swany

I have had the exact same problem under the same circumstances. A new DME did not fix it for me. However I am glad to have it as a spare. Other's seem to have solved their problem by replacing the fuel pump check valve. Here's an excellent writeup: http://65.61.16.109/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9386
