Group Buy on Porterfield R4-S pads
#41

i didn't want to oversell the difference - it is very noticeable though - i love them on both the 968 and the denali - i'd put them on the M3 too, but it's still under warranty

Flash - I still have the dreaded Jurid POS pads on my brand new (Fr) rotors and they are starting to vibrate again after being lightly turned for the second time. Pad material buildup I assume. I intend to use the Porterfields on the front and a brand new set of Texar's on the rear. I am worried about turning my rotors again when I install the new Porterfields: am I worrying too much?

i'm getting close to placing the order - i have more than enough lined up

i REALLY need those who have not done so to send me an EMAIL (not a PM) with an email address so i can send you the amount to send me - click on my screen name, and then in the lower left hand corner or via the drop down, select "send email"

put "porterfield" in the subject line

do this now - checks need to be in hand at the end of the month - please don't assume i have your address handy

rhudeboye, jwahlsten, direwolf, waikiki, eezatoy - this means you

if you are having them shipped, i need a shipping address too

i will then send you an email with the amount, and an address to send a check

i am going to have to do this rather oddly to avoid the silly sales tax - i will be shipping them all to PA, and then bringing a bunch to hershey, shipping some from there, and bringing others back here - sounds nuts, but it beats the tax

If it helps, "ship" them to me in Virginia (or I'll "order" them) and I'll provide them my Virginia Resale number. Ring me up if you want.

i've not forgotten about this - i think i will have everything worked out with the sales tax thing, and will have all my paperwork in order with the state the middle of next week

that's good news for anybody outside california

people inside california will probably get stuck with sales tax, as i think that would be cheaper than shipping them out of state, and then back again, which is what i would have to do - the only way i could avoid that would be to sell them to somebody out of the state, who would then sell them to somebody inside the state - money would actually have to change hands though in case of an audit - sounds like a huge pain to me

no simple way through it, that's for sure, but with 35 sets of these things, it's a chunk of change just in tax (about $200)

Just kidding. Joe, we gotta have that Sunday brunch run on the coast some Sunday. It is springtime! Got a new story. Ever had that call at 2:24 AM, when your son calls? "Hey dad, I'm fine but the car...." (new one, from 3 weeks ago, no...it was not the 968). Oh well, we love them no matter what.

email sent with my email address and qty requested.

Sent the email days ago but wasn't thinking that when sent from the site it doesn't give the senders email address to reply to.

Also, your reply asking a small group of us to send our emails wasnt coming up for me when I hit "new post" at the top. I know it doesnt catch 100%. Thaat's why I'm so late getting this to you. So this post is also to give this a bump.

Think Ill subscribe to the thread.

ok - got the last bits of information and everything all worked out - my seller's permit is now in place, so i can avoid the sales tax to all those outside california (sorry but california guys get stuck here) - for those to whom i am bringing the pads, you also luck out and have no shipping charges

2 sets of pads (enough to do 1 car) does fit in the small USPS flat rate box

price on the pads is going to be $66 per axle

shipping for 2 sets is:
$5 within the US
$13.00 ROW

if you ordered 4 sets, and are shipping them, they will come in 2 packages

i will send emails out tonight with your totals, which will include any shipping charges for those being shipped, and any california sales tax for those being sold within california

payment will be by check only - NO paypal on these (968OZ i'll contact you, since you have something else going on)

the payable to and address information will be in the email - i will order how ever many sets i have payment on by friday of next week - they actually have to make up our pads, as they do not have that many in stock (not even close), so timing is going to be everything here - if you think it's going to be close, send it priority mail
