Just curious - With the increased torque and HP w/ the SC, do you still feel the ballast weight is unnecessary? I have not removed mine yet, but planned on doing so at the same time as the install.

i moved my battery to that location, taking weight off the front of the car and putting it to the rear - since the cab is already 75lbs front heavy (vs the hardtop which is 66lbs tail heavy) and i mounted it using the same rubber mounting on the same points, it accomplishes the same intended task, but reduced the overall weight of the car and achieved better balance

i have talked to higher connections and rs barn about carrying the kit, though it has not gone farther than that at this time

Interesting; I didn't know that. That's good to know, because it's so much easier to take weight our of the rear (remove spare/jack/tools, replace stock exhaust with a cat back, plexiglass rear window, remove rear seats, etc.) that's it's nice to know the coupes are tail heavy to begin with. Plus, the weight of the supercharger will actually improve the balance of the car.

Actually tail heavy is good. 50/50 balance is predictable but not something you need to go all out to achieve.

I am likely to need to take the head off my car next year and also probably have to replace cam shafts (we will wait and see). I have not seen the Powerhaus head gasket for a 968 - any details?

in a cab, it's tough - there is a 2 gauge piece for the hardtop, and it could probably be modified so that it doesn't look "too" bad in fit, but it looks too ricey for my tastes, hence the reason i have not done it

Looks like this thread has been flat for a while. What's the news on the SC kits. How are they working out? Are more available? Has anyone tried one on a TIP? May have just got an occasion to pick up a 6 speed to replace my tip. Will probably move on it if it looks like the kits ate working out.
