yeah - they've got a few people snowed - they keep saying that pete and i were selling over there without being a sponsor, but that never happened - we were actually very careful not to do that - they made all that up - i challenge anyone to find any posts in which that happened - those guys had a whole letter writing campaign going to get us banned - i guess they can't stand the idea that somebody else might know more than them - if they actually had any real impact on anything, i'd have a good tortious interference case, but since almost nobody listens to them, and those who do we wouldn't want as customers anyway, so it pretty much moot

no worries - the kit will speak for itself, and once it gets out there and installed in a few cars in a couple of weeks, that will likely be the last we ever hear about the other one (other than what is already more and ongoing complaints about how it runs - lol - or doesn't)

but back on topic - i need to take one pic and i can post the release - but right now i have some things taken apart to revise a couple of things and finish the instructions - i'll have it back together tomorrow

not likely

the single fan will almost certainly result in overheating - you could always change that out to the standard dual speed dual fans though

also, i'm not sure the mounting would be the same without the AC - i'd have to look into that one

We are starting to see other sc kits in Scandinavia and the only one running that I know of has stand alone engine management. A local guy is said to be fitting a (the Other) system this weekend and the interest seem to be high in supercharging as a feature. So I'm looking forward to reading "ok for ROW use" in the press release...

i'm not surprised he went stand alone - any SC system needs tuning - you can't run the OEM software with an SC and expect things to live, regulator or not

the story just keeps getting worse on that other system - now there is now a whole thread about how the gen 3 injectors run lean - that would be catastrophic in an SC scenario

none of this is new news though - these are exactly the kinds of things that forced us to have to develop a kit, and exactly why it has taken this long

Flash, after years of looking at diff SC set-ups....i must commend you. You have created the finest system on the market free of any complaints/problems people have had/have with all the other systems. Amazing.

I have not had the pleasure of taking it for a spin or taking a ride in it (still wondering why i never asked), but based on others first impressions...the driveability seems to be better then that of my N/A set-up & feels like a modern day factory set-up. In addition to that, the install looked factory (sans the blue hoses which wont be on the production units anyway).

You really did an excellent job, and its something to be proud of imho.

As usual, you have created a product that is either NLA or betters whats already out there for our cars. You need to put out a Design 1 Racing catalogue with all the products you ave created.

I know i'll be missing some items...but

-Strut Brace
-Chasis Brace/Cage: Coupe And Convertible, both with optional pieces
-Firewall brace
-Heatshield
-Adjustable Short shift Kit
-Front Lower Chassis Brace
-Supercharger
-Tonneau Cover For Cab
-AirBox Mod

thanks - it has been a lot of work, but i think we are there now - the real work has been in dealing with the things that most people ignore, like the part throttle maps for example - those are hiding in there, and not easy to test or tune - you can't even do it on a regular dynojet, as you need a constant load against the engine - it is also very expensive to do (i've already spend about $4k tuning, and i'll probably end up with another $2k or so) - that is why most don't do any tuning at all, and leave it up to the buyer, or they just add fuel via bigger injectors or a regulator - while there is a time and place for a rising rate regulator, this is not safe, will not provide what is needed at some of the part throttle positions, and certainly not the way to tune for streetability or reliability

i can't take full credit for the airbox mod - that was a joint effort with dave greimann, with input from eric rustad and others who were there for the initial manometer testing at my house

i also make the stainless clutch line

i also made the 31.75mm front sway bar with heim joint mounting and 22.25mm rear sway bar with lubricated mounting

coming out in the next week or so:
3 guage panel to replace the clock and cubby piece

working on:
semi-solid motor mounts
rear camber correcting kit

I assume the 3 piece guage set had one for the SC boost? If one doesn't get the new guage set then how did you decide to incorporate the boost guage. I know you have been belabouring over what guage to use and its placement.

Yes you have, I was referring to just the boost guage for the SC kit; what you decided on and where the best placement will be. Or will you be suggesting to buy the guage plate and mount it there as the best spot?
I kind of like my cubby for my wallet and glasses so removing it for one guage might not be desireable. Thoughts?
