Get Ready - Get Set - BLOW!!!!

'Keep up the good work?"

Yeah, that's it. KUTGW Firefish

Agreed on the DIYs. I have found that most from this forum are complete. I visit the Avic forums to mod my head unit and those DIYs are not so good. A lot of guessing involved at what there describing. They seem to write from memory and not while there actually doing it.

having a meeting tomorrow about the final version of the front cover

currently set to make charge pipe and radiator hose monday

i'm on page 17 of the instructions now - just need to do the last few parts and then the electronics stuff

meeting went extremely well - the drawings are being finished now - i should have a pic of it for you any time now

new bracket tomorrow morning

i'm holding off on a pic of the system because i'd rather show the real charge pipe, and not the cobbled together mockup of pvc plumbing and such - only a day or so though before you get to see the whole shooting match

i'm also only waiting on the numbers on 1 part now to be able to post the price

just so you can see how complete this thing is going to be, here is a 3D of the cover piece (i think we are making one more small change, but this is really close)

The icing on the cake!
It's rare to see a kit of this magnitude that has proper finishing touches.
Most companys just get the hardware togeather, and it's up to the installer to fabricate parts to complete the install.

Very nice!

thanks - that is exactly our feeling as well - every kit we have ever seen is either missing stuff, looks cobbled together, isn't thought out well or thoroughly, or worse, isn't tuned

this kit will be none of those things - i know it has been a long wait, but i want it to be right - i have a big motivator for this level of completion too - it is going on my own car after all, and any of you who have seen it know how anal i am about it

well, i'm off now to wrap up the last bits

Patrick- funny!

Last time I "put it all down", was a truly stupid bet on a craps table in the old Vegas strip, right next to a $5 blackjack table. Craps is so complicated that you do dumb things and actually win, which is what I did at 30 -1 odds. Paid for the entire golf trip for a week of Vegas in March about 12 years ago. I still don't know how to play the game, which is probably why I hit it big.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, Flash, especially since you post so seldomly....

spent the whole day out at the tubing fabricator working on the charge pipe - close, but still not right - back tomorrow - very hard to do with the car here and the equipment there

these last bits are killing me - deadline is zooming up fast - miles to go before i sleep

new pieces being made - 2 are done - just waiting for the phone to ring on the last 2 being done, and the final one landing at a vendor

Turning out to be the 8th wonder. Who really cares about a wall, reef or Pyramid anyway when you can have forced induction.

lol - true enough - i think thursday is going to be a very big day for me - all the last parts go in - then it's just turn the key and start tuning (yes, you will get pictures at that time)

the completeness and finish quality are turning out to be exactly what i wanted - it makes other kits look home made - i mean, we're talking about all the details, like even the new aluminum radiator pipe is powder coated, as is the aluminum charge pipe, which first gets all of its welds ground down smooth - every metal part is either polished, machine finished or powder coated - all of the plumbing is "railroad tracked" and clamped down, so everything has a clean factory look, and no chance of anything flying loose or getting somewhere it shouldn't

it really has been fun

and STILL on track for under $4k release price
