just thought i would update:
i've been having to spend an inordinate amount of time on my real work over the last few days, but the show i am working on is friday, so that will be all over once i recover
also, the wife is in romania all week, and there have been some things to deal with here, taking me away form the garage during the hours i would normally spend down there
to top things off, somehow i managed to throw out my back and have not been able to walk well for 3 days now, and bending over the engine bay has been very painful (getting old sucks) - so, progress has been slow
but, i have still managed to make some progress:
i reworked the drive plate a bit to lighten it up and compact things a bit more
i made the charge pipe mockup
i ran into a hiccup i hadn't thought about - for me the answer was easy, but you guys are going to need to figure this one out for yourselves, as it won't be a part of the kit
what do you want to do about a boost gauge?
there are plenty of gauge plates out there to replace the clock box, but you would lose your clock and box, and if you had a 2D Nav system or something that wouldn't work anyway
there is a gauge pod for the left A-Pillar at 9xauto, but it is rather ricey looking and there isn't one for the cabs
something to think about - the gauge isn't necessary, but it's fun - i already have a gauge plate, so for me it's a no brainer
so, the 3 questions are:
do you want a gauge at all?
if so, where would you put it?
if so, which brand would you get? (egauges is a good source)
