Get Ready - Get Set - BLOW!!!!

thanks - yeah - keeping our heads up - the handful of people moaning and groaning just don't know what they are talking about - when this comes out, it will be clear where the idea originated, who really worked it out, and how much better and more complete it will be than anything else out there

over 5 years in the making, and a lot of stops and starts along the way, but i am having so much fun with this now, i just can't stand it

lol - yeah - we're giving it away by the gallon

it's pretty funny how misinformed some people are, and how hard some try to convince people how evil we are for finishing a project we started years ago, and using nothing in common with anybody else - we are so above board and in the clear on this, it's hysterical - they are going to look pretty silly when all the truth comes out, and it is all going to come out in a very public manner - my attorney is laughing their butt off in the meantime though - great fun

frankly, we couldn't really ask for better advertising - membership is up - activity is up - there is obvious serious interest in the system - i'm wondering how much i would normally have had to pay to get this kind of exposure?

and i get to make my 968 faster and more reliable too?

very cool stuff indeed

drove the car today - had a blast, but now can really start to imagine what it's going to be like with all that power

picked up some of the parts today - will be working on the mounting of stuff starting tomorrow

found out some more cool stuff today that will help us with speeding this along

saw more data on how well this unit works and now fully expect it to perform EXTREMELY well

this is so cool

Flash,

Sounds like things are moving along really well - very exciting! I noticed in one of your threads that you mentioned the following "one thing I need to do though is return my car to stock exhaust (as well as everything else) for the first tests"

Does "everything else" mean what I think it means? - Back to entirely stock condition? removing all your mods - lightweight flywheel, chip, etc....

p.s I had mentioned in a previous thread that I was planning on being down your way on the 19th. Unfortunately, plans changed, so won't be making it down your way for a while.

i am not planning on changing out the flywheel - that is just too much work - i thought about it for a minute, but it just isn't practical - everything else though that is engine power related that would not be part of the kit, will come off - lol - it's a pretty fair list too

i need to do this though - i need to get real comparison before and after data - we will probably also get runs on another car, that is bone stock, after i have done mine, just to show repeatability and consistency - nobody has ever done that

bummer you won't be here - next time though - but we can start talking about a fun run up there - i'm targeting mid april for the paso robles run this year - that should definitely be cool enough and out of the way of the annual festival - we could do a napa valley run in early spring - send me your thoughts, and we can certainly start another thread about it any time

Dude - buy a workhorse car - way to much effort to undo all your tweaks. If you blow the workhorse up - who cares?

I'd buy that white car and ship it for 800-1000...

nah - there are reasons i want to do this the way i am

first off, i need a TIGHT engine to develop this on - the worst thing i could do would be to buy a car with a weak engine, develop the package to get the most out of it, and then expect anything other than blown up engines when somebody takes that system and puts it on a tight engine with its higher compression - recipe for disaster

second, i know this engine - i know what to expect from it - i know the car - it's cleaner than any other "work horse" would be, and easier to work on - i hate working on dirty engines - i regularly get it and clean mine, sometimes with a tooth brush - it makes this kind of thing so much easier

third, even though i am developing the kit on this car for application on stock cars, don't think for a minute that i won't be thinking about what i plan to do "down the road" and will develop a different version of the kit accordingly in advance of that - i absolutely will not be reproducing that kit (sorry guys), but it saves me a lot of work to do it on mine and leave it there when i am done, rather than do it on another car, remove it, and install it on mine

and shipping a car coast to coast is a lot more than that - the last time i looked, the best i could do was $1500, when gas was $2 a gallon, it was on an open trailer, and had a 6 week delivery time - cost aside, that is just too long

Uhaul!

Keep the exciting news coming! Getting any closer to pictures?

I predict my wife and in-laws will be less than thrilled when I am spending time reading the forums during Christmas instead of joining in on their obligatory chit-chat sessions about family stuff after the kids go to bed. Oh well - I'll survive!

i think i might have enough stuff together to show some pics by xmas - not sure yet - some things are lead time items - for sure everything will be mock or prototype form only though - won't have the "real deal" or working model until probably just after the 1st of the year
