Hi all,

 

On the back of my gearbox oil is leaking out. I did find a new cap but is this enough to stop the leaking (photo 1)? And does anybody know what the element in front of this cap is?

Is it doable to replace this by only lowering the gearbox a bit?

 

Besides this I see a sort of knob on top of the gearbox (see photo 2). Can anybody tell me what the function of this is?

That looks like an ident

Spring loaded thingy to give you that sort of click feeling when a gear is selected, and keeps it in the gear
