Just noticed the cowl area on my drivers side with the fuse and relay box is filed with water. Where is the drain in this side. On my 931 it is at the front of the cowl, but I do not see it there having done a basic inspection. Also, is there more than one, in that area?

Took a quick look when I got home about 1:30AM but did not see the cuts, though it was through the water. Shall try again tomorrow. Any more detail, please let me know. I did see the sun roof drain coming down through the A pillar and ending on top of the box area closest to the outer fender, so water is being funneled to the cowl from there. So assume the drain(s) in the cowl can handle a good amount of activity.

Thanks. I think I saw this space on the battery side. Do you know if this is just a gap that drains down some sheet metal, or is there a hose or some plastic to direct it downward? I think I may have to pop the gas hood strut to access it properly.

Got it cleared. Was very plugged up with Eucalyptus leaves. Just clearing the opening was insufficient for proper flow. I used a 1/4" stainless rope wrapped with electrical tape. This cleared it initially, but the flow slowed again as additional small bits went with the flow. I ultimately used wide duct tape folded flat around the rope to give it some area, and worked it through the channel a few times. Success. Full flow. Had to remove the hood shock on the passenger side. Be careful and block up the hood, this is not somewhere you would want to catch your hand if the hood came down even partially. I ran the rope from the far side of the fuse box near the wiper to get more of straight shot down the chute. Coming in directly overhead was a bit of a hard angle to work the rope. Felt like I was doing an angioplasty on her. Ran tons of fresh water around the cowl and down the drain.

Yes. And they appear
easily stopped up, or at least restricted with
very little debris.
