The pieces to which you're referring are, to the best of my knowledge, not independently removable. When I replaced my dash, those pieces came off as part of the entire dash, and they were on the replacement dash when I purchased it. You can probably see that in the attached photo.

I got one pulled out right now I just recently did. Its not that bad.
