coolant level questions...
#1

On my car, coolant level at max, I pressurize the system to 1.5 bar (21psi).

The coolant level at pressure drops almost 2 inches.

Is this normal?

If your's doesn't do this, why does mine? A big air pocket?

Help please!

Michael, I never run mine with the coolant at the Max fill level since I have seen many of these water cooled cars (924S, 944 and 968) overflow their coolant when it is hot and the car is run at a track event. I keep it just above the Min level and have never had any overflow problems. Making sure all of the air is out of the system is a good idea too. It can take longer than expected to bleed all of the air out through the bleed valve. good luck, Bob Blackwell.

i run mine right in the middle, and so far no issues, and no such level change - agreed though - bleed the system - also check your return hose to make sure it is clear of obstruction and unbent

flash - very interesting...is the return hose the one that's towards the rear of the coolant reservoir?

Also, please describe the best way to insure the system is bled properly...
