CONTEMPLATING FIXED HEADLIGHTS

ok - so, amongst my many projects, i'm contemplating fixed headlights - i may actually have an idea that will work - since i have a fender sitting in my garage, i can start working on it - i have a couple of questions though first for those of you who might be interested: how important is the brightness of the headlight? how important is it that the light be porsche? how important is it that the light be halogen? how important is it that the lens be flat? what cost would seem reasonable for such a conversion? are you willing to remove the entire existing mechanism from the car? let me know your thoughts here so i can figure out if this will work

I'm doing a similar setup in my race car for night racing. I'm using the same Hella 90mm as that 951 but instead of a high and a low beam I'm using 2 high beams on each side. Two of these hella lights will fit in each headlight bucket. I'm fabbing an aluminum bracket to mount them on. It won't be street car pretty but it should be effective. I'll post some pictures when it is completed.
