I would love to see it. Did you take any pics during all that testing?

yes - not posting any though until we have the final fitting - the first one was just tacked together - i didn't want to get into discussions of "how come that looks like that?" there were some really ugly tacks and rough pieces - we were working with the prototype unit from the cab - it has seen a LOT of changes and tacks all over it

soon though

just waiting on jeff's car to get back together so i can do a final fitment

i almost have the pricing information ready now - one last piece to get numbers on

update on application - this will now fit ALL YEARS of the hardtop model - no modifications, cutting, welding, drilling or anything required (pretty sure it fits the 944 too)

Clarification please. There is a Design 1 chassis brace from RSB that I have on my "wish" list. Is this new brace a different one to augment the RSB brace or an improved replacement?

yes - the one on their site is the lower suspension brace

this one is a big 6 point mount 1.5" diameter brace that goes INSIDE the car

Ah, one of those DE type of things where you remove the back seats; a mini roll-bar. I'll stick with the lower one and concentrate on my wish list sway bars and coil-overs I guess
Tks for the info.

ok - the car is up and running again

the good news - we are set to do final fitting tomorrow - i'll post pics as soon as it's in

the bad news - no chance of production run being completed before hershey

more good news - pretty sure we will have one for you to touch and feel and play with at hershey

more good news - if orders are in before the 13th of this month, they can be done about the second week of may

now that i have all the data, i'm crunching the numbers and will have the pricing info tomorrow

out of curiosity, how many might want one of these in the first batch?

to recap:
this will be a true "bolt in" unit with NO cutting, welding, or drilling required
it will be a 6 point unit
it will be 1.5" diameter .120" wall DOM tubing with 3/16" landing plates
it will have mounting points for an optional harness bar
it will pass or exceed all specs for 4 point roll bar construction for PCA and SCCA
it will be powder coated black
it will include all necessary hardware and instructions
it will not prohibit use of the rear seats
it will be removeable
it will fit all years of the 968

i should see the completed first unit by the end of the week
