The GT racing stuff is hit and miss. Sometimes it is really nice, sometimes not. I would figure on the fenders not being a direct bolt up and requiring a body shop to hang correctly. They will probably never look street car perfect - if that is important.

I just had them (GT Racing carbon fiber) put on my car...replaced the fenders and hood.

A fellow I know had them and wanted to swap them with my OEM metal fenders and hood. So we did it as a no-charge swap. He wants to race in F-stock and couldn't use them, so it worked out well for both of us.

A body shop was definately involved in the process, so it's not like I got out for free, though. I had them painted and I also had a Porsche non-sunroof roof installed in place of my current sunroof style roof.

The whole thing has taken quite some time, and I hope that I can finally get the car on track soon.

Hmm....I suppose the factory look is not that important

Any pics Jason?

What was the fit like?

Graham

P.S. You have beaten me to it on the roof...mine goes in soon for the same treatment

Graham,

I wasn't around during the time the body shop had the car, and I have yet to see it. I heard that there was some fitment work that was needed, though.

I'm trying to wait until the end of August, to give my mechanic time...not that I'm complaining...since he's had the car since Friggin' February!!

I've got a 2-day event at Limerock on the 19th and 20th, followed by a 3-day event at Watkins Glen from the 26th to the 28th. If the car isn't done for these events I think my wife will fry me, too, since we've got a family vacation tied into the Watkins Glen event.

I'll do pictures once it's all done...if it does get done...Sheesh!
