CAB SUBWOOFER
#41

Soundstorm USS8

I think this one is another option. From a few reviews I've found people seem to like it more than the Blau. More power as well.

I'll run two of them, thats not a problem (as long as space allows). I am not looking for tons of THUMP, just something so it doesn't sound like I'm listening to music in a tin can.

i can see why they might like it more than the 200 - i still think the 210 is the way to go, but at $129 i don't think the risk is too high that it isn't worth trying out - you just may find that you need 2 of them

i may have to snag one of those myself just to try it out

Well, I did some measuring and I can see why you had to make your own shelf and why many people just put a box in the trunk. There is really no good place to put anything. I haven't put much thought into it until now and it just plain sucks. I was thinking some sort of 6x9 enclosure behind each seat, I think MB sells a component 6x9 setup and I would just omit the tweeters. Not the most effective shape of speaker for bass, but better than a 6.5 I would think. ???

The Infinity Basslink is a great unit that should work in the trunk just fine. I have one in my truck and it is great. My son has one in his Focus and I can hear him coming up the road.

I have a 10" Bazooka tube in my cab and it really kicks, but it takes up half the trunk.

Today my Blaupunkt THb 210A subwoofer came. I haven't gotten to the garage yet to see where it might fit, but it seems like I might have to put it into the trunk. Where the in the trunk is the best spot for it? I would imagine that closer to the cabin would be better but I am concerned about the position of the gas tank. I also don't want it in the middle of the trunk since we still need to carry overnight bags.

ah - i thought you were going with the 200, which should have fit in the storage boxes

the 210, which i think will sound much better, should fit nicely on the floor behind the seat

it may not be enough in the trunk

Bump. Did you see enough interest in this to produce? Or perhaps you could sell a blueprint for those enterprising young wood workers?

not enough interest yet

there is no blueprint

only the top plate is made of wood - the all important enclosure, which is responsible for the low end, is made of moulded fiberglass
