Yeah... a lousy detail... an assembly with exposed electrical connections that fills with water with every car wash. I actually bought a new assembly (both the red lens and the interior plastic clippy part) but nothing can be done about the exposed terminal screws except swathe them in dielectric grease and hope for the best...
1992 black/tan coupe, window express, koni struts/shocks, 17C2 wheels, guards <acronym title='Limited Slip Differential'><acronym title='Limited Slip Differential'>LSD</acronym></acronym>, pinion fixed, sound system, etc, etc, OCD for sure.

What about using some silicone gasket material to make a complete seal. Perhaps put vasoline or grease on one side so it will not be glued together?
