Burnt Out Taillight
#1

Hello all, Recently my driver side brakelight (driving lights are fine) burnt out on me. I used to have a 944 and canging the bulb was easy and straightforward. However, after pulling the carpet to replace the bulb I cannot figure out how to get to that bulb. I can see where the wires penetrate teh trunk, but i have no idea how to get to the bulbs themselves. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

If you have a owners manual it's in the back with pictures. But basically behind the taillight assembly you will see a rubber plug that you need to pull. Behind that there is a hexagon nut that needs to be loosend and removed. Once that is out you can pull the entire assembly out.

Also note that the black nut is rather large and is quite long, disappearing into the assembly. Once removed the tail light lens pulls out from the outside.
