just in case anybody out there was thinking they would wait, in hopes the prices would drop farther, think again.  after the end of july, i am putting everything up in the attic.  if and when i see somebody in the future put something up for sale, i'll offer what i have as an option.  the way i see it, this stuff will be worth a whole lot more the longer i wait.  i'm only blowing the stuff out so i don't have to move it.  i'm basically being lazy, and want to clear out of the brick and mortar space.  once i have to move it, all motivation to offer discounts dies.

i will also stop making splitters and tonneau covers when i put the stuff into the attic.

in case nobody did the math, the new pricing on most stuff is over 20% off.

the remaining superchargers are now $1000 below where they were this time last year.

I have a dedicated track car with an AC delete. Does your kit support that? Any issues with the supercharger living its life about 6,000 RPM? Happy to discuss pros and cons by phone if you're interested.

Put a rev limiter in and set it at 61 or 62. I have found that your power flattens out around there.Nor do you need to beat your engine. So you really don't need to be up there long. While the sc is a gas and torque is way cool coming out of the corners, the 968 is a momentum car and the sc can make you lazy. I've become a better driver with the sc out and am enjoying it immensely in my other 968. With that, enjoy it if you want.

lol - i think that translates to "it makes the car faster than i can drive it".  i said much the same thing.  where i used to have to keep the car revved up to have any power available, the sc kit has it on tap at all times.  to use it all forces the driver to be quicker in reactions, pay more attention, and generally drive faster than they may be capable of.  also, anybody who has done any DE stuff has experienced the faster cars and drivers, and the slower ones.  being in a faster car, but in a slower group, can really make you lazy.  it would really be no different than if you took a small formula car out there amongst a bunch of production cars.  you would be bored.

the kit requires an ac compressor in there.  it does not have to be hooked up, but it needs the pulley, due entirely to a very limited number of belt lengths.  i designed an AC delete kit that would work, but i never made it up or tested it.

Actually my observation was that I didn't need to get above 62. 130-140 mph doesn't match today's cars by any stretch but it seemed pretty fast especially in traffic for a 20+ year old car. The power from the sc does make you pay attention and hones your technique. Of course the real point is corner entry and exit speeds for which seat time generally helps. Lots of cars are fast on the straights and are not in the corners!

I hope you hang on the the SC kits a while longer, don't lose the key to the attic.

not sure what i am going to do.  i know that at the end of the month i am disconnecting the shopping cart on the D1R site.  this will require people to contact me in order to purchase anything.  i have a business paypal account, so i can still take credit cards, but it will be more difficult.

as for the attic, once the stuff goes up there, i am far less inclined to do anything about it.

i have a couple of people asking about the kits now.  lol - i am thinking about parking one of them, just because, and letting the rarity push the price up.

Wow!!....the last one?.....Did some pre-install homework today. Checked the hood and alignment looked good. Checked under hood clearance and it looks good. All tools ok except the slider torque wrench. Need to borrow that. Hope to see improvement in handling....To be continued.

Were you able to get a firewall brace or were those all gone?

Install isn't too bad, I did it.

Only mistake I made, that Flash caught in a photo, was to use the short "turnbuckle" rather than the long one, which you'll want to use.  Want to have the least amount of threads showing.

Looks like the firewall brace is out of stock. We will look at the "turnbuckle" (whatever that is) issue when I get the parts. I already tested the hood clearance and alignment and it looks good. This is a good time to study the installation instructions and do some prep work.

Kaj,

If they are available, you should also install the undercarriage brace. The difference is remarkable!

now down to:

4 - supercharger kits (i think 2 are spoken for)

4 - stage 3 upgrade kits (i think 2 are spoken for)

6 - heat shields

3 - door sill sets

1 - 3 hole gauge plate

i failed to disable the shopping cart before they billed me for it, so it's still working at the moment.  as a result, i am extending the sale prices until it is disconnected.   it is now all set to be disconnected on the 15th though.

after that, the only thing holding me up from moving all the stuff from the warehouse, back to here, and then up into the attic is the fact that there is a car sitting in the way for another couple of days.  once that moves though, i can rearrange my garage, and then move everything over here.  once that happens, it all goes up into the attic and will stay there for a very long time.  i'm guessing about a week all in before everything goes into the "black hole".
