Awww cmon guys.
I used to drive my 68 to parking garages all over San Fran and not a ding.
Don't be so paranoid.
Don't make me show up in the family van too.

I'll bring the 968. Why not. What the hay. See, having the ding strips on the side of the car is a GOOD THING! My car has very few dings but those strips have a fair number of nicks.
So, if I want to be there at 6:45 on a friday night, and I'm coming across the bay bridge from San Francisco, I should leave, what, 2 hours for driving? I better leave right now then! I hate bridge traffic. Yay, I actually remembered to bring my camera, it should be cool to gather some 968s.

The gathering went really well after everyone got lost finding the roof level in the parking lot.
Me and my dad were unsuccessful at getting the 964 running but everyone else brought their P-cars.
Thank You for you guys who came.
Everyone else I'll set something up another time so we can hang out.
Basicly we ate and talked for 4 1/2 hours and as a bouns saw Arash'es A/C compressor fix.

For those who are now curious....

The short story: The AC compressor bolts and the tensioner snapped while I was 200 miles from home and it was night time. I drove around on battery power and luckily found a Kragen, still open, and thought to use a wrench as a tensioner. It worked!
It was cool meeting up and chatting. Man, I really miss the car chats, as at school I have like 1 car friend and I don't see him that often. A man can go crazy. Steve, a thousand thanks for letting me drive your 914.

It was fun meeting everybody who could find their way to Emeryville last night. There's definitely a need to identify good places to meet up with plenty of parking space in the Bay Area. I'm fond of Cafe Vasiliki in Hayward, across the street from Chabot Community College - could use more parking space, but I love their swedish style pancakes too much to care -- and they're just a few blocks from Parts Heaven...
Folks were wondering about the color of my '95 coupe -- paint code is L39C, and on the 993 that's Night Blue Metallic, also listed as just "nachtblau." I have no idea how rare this is/isn't, and looking at the pictures I took when first checking it out it looks darker than I remember the last time I saw it. But then, it's been at the shop for so long... I'm trying to track down some other pix, but hope to have it back within the next two weeks so I can take more then.

Berkeley, Emeryville, it's all good with me. I actually like the Bay Bridge, I enjoy driving on it. I say the next dinner night be sometime on or after June 13, which is when I'm back in town again . But then I'll be home for the summer and I have no "job" so 'flexible' is my middle name.
