Looking to be a first time Porsche Owner
#21

There is a Guards Red/Black coupe on the PCA Mart for $10k. Car is in Jersey City, NJ. Photos look fine but are not particularly detailed. It does have the Porsche CR 210 stereo head unit. 16" wheels:

1992 Porsche 968 Coupe. Well maintained. Records since 1998. Owned since 1999. Red with black leather interior. Six speed. 94,000 miles. $10,000 firm.

Can only reply to seller through the ad.

This 94 NJ car is also on the PCA Mart:

94 968

And one more at a reasonable price-

92 with 57K $15,500:

6 speed. Cup design alloy wheels. (16in.) wheels.. tires (225's &245's) CD player. Velour floor mats. Heated driver's seat/w full power. Koni shocks. H&R springs. Front & rear M030 sway bars.

Strangely also in NJ!

Anyone have objections to buying a 968 from a dealer? I would think the price would be a bit higher, any other things I should consider?

Was your experience GOOD or BAD?

I read here that you guys like pictures so here they are. THANKS!

Looks nice. 17" rims. $17,900 is not unreasonable - particularly as a starting point for negotiation. I would not skip a PPI from an experienced Porsche mechanic.

I would pass because it is not manual transmission but people with the automatics seem to really like them. Carfax is clean, showing 2 owners with the first owner being an 8 year lease/dealer car in TN, AR, TX and IL, then it was sold and has been in FL a year and had 10k put on it. Let me know if you want the carfax.

You guys here GREAT. You really know your 968's. You can pick things out just from pictures, the way people use their wordings, etc.... I am impressed. I am also amazed at how little I do know and how much more I can learn. Thanks again for all of your help. My quest continues.......
