I've been scouring various classified sites (AutoTrader, RennList, Vehix, Cars.com, eBay, etc) looking for "the right" 968 to buy. I'd prefer a 94-95 (but not excluding 93's if a decent one comes along). I've found that the chances of winning the lottery are better than finding the right year, milage, color, AND options I'd like. My color preferences are White, Red, Black, or Blue, but have a feeling if I find a car with the right year/milage/options I will be happy with whichever color I get.
Please let me know if you know of anyone selling or have seen one for sale, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks so much for all of your help, this site has been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly since I have joined. Thanks again!

well if you're willing to wait, and jump on the right car, then eventually you'll find what you're looking for.
If you're willing to get the LSD installed aftermarket you'll open up your options though.

That is what I have found, I have opened my options and decided I will install an aftermarket later, I think it will save me some money in the long run.

There is a nice low mileage 94 White 968 coupe listed in the PCA web site. I looked in to it but the color combo is not what I want. Here is part of the ad "32,XXX miles – Stored winters, battery maintainer. White with blue interior. Limited slip, painted crest wheels -matching rear wing spoiler, brushed sills, sun roof, CD, 5 speed, AutoThority chip, K&N Filter, recent belts. Full Factory CD manual, included with oil filters. $18,900 info delivery extra." it is in MI.
If you are not a PCA member let me know and I can get you the contact info.

I'm in the Grand Rapids area myself. Not fond of the blue interior, but I haven't seen one either. I'll have to get my father's PCA member number and get onto the PCA website. (I don't have a logon)

wow Road Racer, my family is in Grand Rapids. . . have you seen a 968 around there yet?
If I ever get up there with the Pcar I'll give you a holler.

Joe, sounds like a plan, maybe you can arrange your visitation around a local PCA event
To update my purchase situation... I've found that it is extremely difficult to finance a car beyond it's KBB value. Unfortunately, even though these cars' street value well exceeds their KBB value, they do not consider this in the financing decision. I guess that's what I get for trying to jump the gun on owning a Porsche.
Plan is that I will have to sell my current car first (2002 Nissan SE-R Spec V (tell your friends), coilovers/konis, I/H/E, the whole 9 yards, daily driven w/ only 50k miles). Then I will see how much playing room I will have around this minor speed bump. HOWEVER, if the right one comes along, I will have to jump at the opportunity and sit on the Nissan until I can get rid of it.
