Alarm not arming
#1

I just had my doors fixed and now that the electric locks and handles are all squared away, the led lights on the lock nobs dont come on when I lock the doors. As far as I figure (and as the owner's manual says) that means the alarm is not arming, any ideas why. Id like to have something to go one when I take ti back to have them fix this error.

Thanks!!

does the central locking switch work?

do the dome lights work correctly?

does the glove box light work correctly?

after that, of course, check fuses

very possible that there is a pin switch open - check the glove box and all pin switches to see that they move freely and do not leave a circuit open

Everything works fine, it was working when I took it in, so I doubt its a fuse. What/where are the pin switches? Do I have to take the glove box out to get at them?

Thanks for the help!

open each door and such - there is a plunger type switch at each one, including the hood - the doors are in the jams - the glove box is at the latch - so is the hood

but don't discount the obvious things like the fuses - never assume anything when it comes to cars - always go back to the basics - verify voltage and ground to anything electrical before trying to diagnose some less than likely cause of a symptom

Got it! It was just the fuse, so everything is working now. Thanks for the suggestions!
