Clutch Queston
#1

Need some clutch advise.

My clutch gets "mushy" very easy. Even backing out of the garage (small ramp) can cause my clutch to fell mushy. Always works, releases and no slippage.

Car is all stock and 40K miles on it.

Not sure if the slave or master cylinders could be a issue. I have changed the fluid with no improvement.

If you have the original clutch line (hose) it could be that it's lost its integrity and may be bulging a bit when you depress the pedal. That could be the mushy feeling. A stainless steel braided clutch line might be a good replacement for the original line. It's not too hard to replace.
