they are off till the battery voltage goes over 13v then they come on

when you turn the car off it take about 30 seconds for the battery to drop back below 13v, so you get see you home lights for about 30 seconds,

they go off when you turn on dip beam as well

I have the same problem with my bonnet, I use a tool for fastening the door covers to prop it up. And it gets windy from time to time and I don't care how good those gas struts are, its gonna slam shut... the lights look like accent lights and I hadn't considered that to be what you had in mind. Perfect. I still don't think they'd be "legal" here in California,  but people do some crazy things and get away with it. Yours are done with such style most people would think they're stock, except of course the CHP whose taking down your license number. B)

Nice handywork, but the broom handle could be more stylish. We have to be critical ol' chap ;-)

Sure it may not be legal in California but so is driving without a front license plate or exceeding the posted speed limit, so in my case that would be three violations ..oh and I have tinted windows also ..so four violations . May as well add the fog light / reflectors in the rear of the car and make it five.

Those are the violations that usually get enforced when you are an a$$hole to the cops...

Not necessarily..if it's a  revenue generating opportunity and depending on the jurisdiction /  county's quota needs at the time, you can be Mother Teresa with the police and still get tagged ..

I've noticed its a regional phenomena too, in S.F. they mostly stop you to give you a warning, in L.A. if its a major violation (though that can be regional too like Malibu vs Long Beach)... and then there's the theory that if you've got little discrepancies like that, they'll write you up for them and pass on the "no U turn" violation with a warning.  And if its a sunny day with a nice breeze...

I had a 427 Cobra some years back and it was late at night, little traffic on 5 and I was cruising pretty good and a CHP came up on me out of nowhere, and got on his bull horn and said, "nice car, mind slowing down a bit?" and with that he was off...  B)

Mind if I ask how you get in and out of the car in that garage? Is it a cab and you just leap in, without opening the doors? Lmao! Btw, the lights look vert cool! Nice job!

That way round it's in my passenger door and climb over, it's RHD

Going in forwards is ok though, you can't really see in the pictures but there are recesses on the right hand side of the garage that allows room to open the doors, and before you ask all the jobs that have been done on this car were done in there

No power

No heat

No light

Been fun I can tell you

Big garages are a rare thing over here,

It's not so bad when you get used to it

I can see there's a little more room than a first glance would imply, and we've got some "bungalows" in La Jolla  (that's what they're called but are "rich man" bungalows) whose garages are not any larger.  Once again nice job. (its growing on me even more)

Okay. I have simply question. I've been following this thread and still do not know answer. Also, didn't know that I had driving lights until this thread was started. Had to experiment in garage with lights on wall. Mine is US car.

Is there a simple way to change the set up so you can turn on driving lights (rather than fog lights) without head lights popped up. I would like to use driving lights with just side markers. I'm not interested if it's legal or not. When the thread refers to daytime running lights is that the fog light or driving light?

Separate question does the fog/driving light fixture have two bulbs?

Sorry if I appear to be a moron with these questions. I know the you guys will clear this up for me. Thank you.

Flash, thank you, but still don't get it.

There is no switch for driving lights, correct? Isn't the only way to turn on driving lights, to turn on headlights and put on high beam? Is there a way to "park" headlights in down position and keep driving lights on?

There is a rocker switch next to the rotating headlight switch. Rotate the headlight switch clockwise one stop (before the lights come up) and switch the rocker switch on. Viola, driving lights with the headlights down. Now the cops can see you coming, per Flash.

My rocker switch, switches on the fog lights not driving lights when headlight switch Is rotated to first notch. Is there a way to switch between fog and driving light?
