From the number of posts and views, it seems like the sill plates have garnished a lot of attention. Well done Flash!

no worries. when i saw that somebody was going to be basically raping the 968 guys on the ones he bought from harvey, charging over $100 for a pair, i figured i needed to do something about it.

Well, you design and create great products, and you have an attention to detail that most lack.

I bet if you created some with a 944 logo, the 944 folks would snap them up. There are too few out there, and they are either shoddy or expensive; and sometimes they are both.

If you do get around to designing a chip (and I hope you do) I want to be on that list as well.

lol - way ahead of you. already did the artwork.

re: chip - a few things to get to before i can do that, but it is on my radar now. it's not just a chip, but an entire package. be aware though that the chip will only do what is claimed if used with the other things that will be specified in the package. it won't work nearly as well if you try to use other stuff. i don't want to get into a conversation about the chip here in this thread, but basically i am taking everything i have learned about this car over the last 11 years, and putting together a package that will exceed anything thus far put out there.

back on topic - the only thing i am trying to figure out is how many 944 sills to make, as i don't have the same kind of access and notification methods with those guys as i do with the 968 guys. i really don't want to sit on a bunch of them, and i also don't want somebody else to realize that i have undercut them, and then they blow their stuff out as a result, leaving me with mine.

i'll figure it out. maybe i'll offer a group buy to them, and let somebody else collect the money, and then order them pre-paid.

Curious to know what you have in mind for the chip package, Flash? I just ordered one from Pete, but I would upgrade for more ponies and torque. I'll keep an eye out for a different thread. In the meantime, looking forward to the sill plates! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/popcorn.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I assume you are talking about intake modifications and exhaust modifications to coordinate and complement the chip? if so, that would be great. Your efforts to solve and balance the exhaust issues have been interesting and at times entertaining, but you seem to have it sorted out. If the exhaust and the chip worked together with either the airbox/K&N mods, the result could be a lot of bang for reasonable bucks.

Yep, I paid $109 for some at Hersey this year and didn't realize he had a whole pile of them tucked away. In hind sight that purchase is my only real regret about the trip I got a great deal on a bunch of other parts. I'll likely order a set of the D1R sills.
