WTB Parts Car
#1

Looking for a wrecked 968 to use as a donor for another project. Let me know of any leads to any parts cars. This also includes 944's and 944 Turbos along with 968's. I have a few different ideas and would like any leads to anything as of now.

Please email me at ksalnick@mix.wvu.edu

Thanks,

Keith

There's one on Cars.com...they are asking an obscene amount, but maybe you can talk them off the ledge.

I have a 1987 944S 16V that I'm thinking about selling. It runs and drives, but is smoking like a crack addict once it gets warm. Very nice interior. Exterior is not too bad, but not perfect. I'm in Texas. $1600.

I found three 944's on the tampabay craigslist. A '88 944 S with some right side accident damage for $3k. A '87 944 for $2.6k. A '86 944 for $3k with some extra parts. There are also two 944's with transplanted 968 engines, one '88 with a '94 968 engine and suspension for $20k (good luck to whoever is trying to sell that one!) and a '89 with a '93 968 engine for $7.5k. I know those last two are pricey for a parts car but I thought I would include them anyway. Sorry I couldn't directly link you to the ads but I'm posting from my phone. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll put up the links.

Thanks for the help.. Im not looking to tear something apart that has no problems. I would only part a car that has some sort of damage, or extremely high miles. I am planning on rebuilding whatever engine I source for my project completly, so something with miles is not an issue.

Thanks,

Keith

I'm located way over in California, though. I'm sitting on an '94 black 968 cab on 80k miles with front frame damage that I will be parting this year. If shipping a parts car across the country is worth it to you, let me know!
