WTB 968 Cabriolet
#1

Searching for a LOW mile, well documented, no accident cab. Year doesn't matter but proof of ownership, maintenance history, & service records do. Also, books, manuals, keys, front compartment kit items, jack, tool kit etc are all expected (with a low mile car). Prefer to buy from the owner, so scammers/brokers dont waste your time. Name, phone number, & photos of the car in first contact appreciated.

I will run all VIN offerings for salvage, flood etc, obtain carfax, & PPI any offering either in person or by a knowledgeable P car person. No junk, no hassle, no games, dont need wife's permission or financing and such. I do not want to steal your car...if it is THE car, and documented, and LOW mile, I will step up on a fair price.

If you have a great, documented, cared for car that can "speak for itself" without a hard sell, lo miles, and you would like to make a straight up sale to a private owner who appreciates the marque, please send email or other contact though this forum.

Thanks very much. George

so, are you looking for a low mileage car?

lol - seriously - there are a couple of them out there (by definition low mileage is under 30k), but so far, the prices are relatively high.

any other qualifiers? exterior / interior color? manual or tip?

Hi Flash, low mileage cars ( I agree with your cut off as a reasonable consideration for low miles) are out there.

Good points & thanks; 6 speed a must; red/black/black or black or midnight blue with black/black or tan/black preferred, white considered strongly, BUT all colors considered...its more the quality of the car than the color. Nothing with modifications other than maybe OEM lightweight 'twist' type wheels. Looking for a keeper/driver, not a flipper/headache.

I have the patience & time to find what I want...it's out there somewhere. Low mile cars of different marques are turning up more frequently I think, so maybe I'll get lucky sooner than later.

no worries. if you're prepared to spend $25k, you should be able to find a nice one with less than 30k on the clock. you won't likely get it for less than that though. there just aren't that many of them around anymore.

good luck with the search

I think this is a good deal for the miles and the condition:

Talk to the seller and let me know if you want me to check it out for you.

Thanks very much MCL. This car has been on craigs & ebay a few times...on ebay again right now. From what I understand some pretty knowledgeable P car folks suggested prospective buyers might keep looking. My sense after chasing cars for many decades if it is such a good a car...it would not be unsold after so many offerings in different venues. Appreciate the contact though & the offer to help out very much.

Possibly correct, but my curiosity is piqued. It's only a mile or so from me, I think I might take a look at it this week just to see what's up with it. If it looks promising, I may drop you a note.

From some of the pictures it looks like some body or paint issues. But, the price looks really good if the listing is right.

A friend here called on it and he seemed to indicate that he would consider 15k cash. I think I will take a look at it later this week. The chrome 993 wheels are a nice feature, IMHO.
