Hood/Bonnet gap passenger side near the windshild far right.
#1

Take a look. If youhave more gap here than on the driver's side you may have encountered a problem that mystified me and angered me for months. In my pristine 92 Black Cab which is perfect no paint imperfections, everything fits, flawless I had an emergency need to replace the battery. Called AAA asked for one of the batteries prescribed. The next day I noticed the gap and thought for months that the technician had closed the hood on his tool or rag even as I watched. Months later with a paper towel and colored chalk I was able to prove that the battery is just enough taller to slightly elevate the hood without dimpling it. Outraged at my own stupidity I went to Sears where there is a large choice in batteries I spent 4 hours while they tried battery after battery that would fit. I took my towels and chalk and they all failed. But, I did have Sears cooperation, sympathy and ultimate customer service because they liked the car so much. About 5 techs and a manager got involved and they found a battery that solved the problem. So, nect ime you need a 968 battery be aware and test the clearance before you allow the hood to be closed and especially avoid the install. If you have the gap now check it out and you will have a remedy. My hood went right back into normal gap spacing with no further action necessary.
