window wiring

was working on my door and the cover for the wire (pins) for the passager door switch came loose part # 944 612 539 00 tried putting them back in but seguence is wrong. which color wire in which #.

wire colors are red/blue yellow/red brown green/red red/white

any help would be appricated

pain in the ass , there. In the future, I suggest always to take a pic of the pins in the housing before removing( I try to take pics of anything I take apart). Blurry, but you can make out the coding.

Top of the switch is top of the pic. wiring comes from top when switch is mounted.

thanks i looked at my switch and the colors are different they are red/blue.....yellow/red.......brown.......

green/red........red/white......

hmmmmm(mine is a 92), I would think that:



the red/white goes top left.



brown bottom left.



red/another color bottom right



that leaves yellow/red and green/red. If the wire covering has not been tampered with and the ends not twisted, the wire lengths should almost fall in place.

Probably the difference is between one being the drivers side the other being the passenger - when I rearranged my switches (moved the mirror switch to drivers door, the passenger window to console, and split my drivers window so I could have a console switch and a door switch (like the passenger) I remember the wiring was colored different from side to side – check the wiring diagrams found on this site, it will show the colors and pin locations – I’m at work and don’t remember off the top of my head. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
