Saw the topic and thought interesting but never open this thread until now.

This forum is very unique. We are a small but pretty tight group. Varying ages but all "pretty mature" . Ok respectful. I have a good feel on the different personalities here and I all ways want to help, oppose to just lurking. There is a strong bond of trust and friendship here also. I have felt this very early on, once I became a member. The admin’s are open to phone calls and seem to value our input on changes to the site. I'm an active member on about 4 other forums and have been on countless others for tid bits about everything from watches to Home improvement. Weather big or small they're not as good as this one IMO. Again, this forum is unique.
Perhaps the log in feature is protecting that in someway.
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

I don't mind the login requirement, it is saved in my Firefox. I am on a couple of other forums/lists where I could tear my hair out over the junk that posted, I echo Rhude's comments right above, and really appreciate the "advanced" culture here.
(I do miss the Lo-Fi version being read-only without logging in, I used to read on my phone when I had a spare moment..)

Quality over Quantity.
This tight group of 40 has served me better and faster then forums of 400. We dont really need an influx of users to be successful as a forum. We need experience and expertise. Wait, then where so I fit in?

Me too! With all the expertise here? You reminded me of one very important characteristic about this forum. It is a very safe place; without hesitation we can ask dumb questions , post my little contributions if it might help the next guy , attempt some humor that usually bombs , or meet people at the events without wondering if I qualify .

See that? Where else can you go, type a sentence like that above, and not be corrected?
