Where can I find a 968 Carpet Set (Cabriolet)
#1

I have done it again! I have purchased my second 968 this time a cabriolet.

My other is a 968 turbo cs/rs. - so much fun

The Cab is lovely example but the carpets have been totally soaked and are rotting <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />.

I neet a full set of new grey carpet European cut pile type. Where can I find some.

Also where can I get a new rear seat as this too is wet and rotting.

Cheers Deryck - Australia

World Upholstery supplied me with a leather for my seats and carpet. I didn't get their carpet kit, but elected to buy their German carpet and have a local shop install it for me. They used the stock carpet to cut the pattern. It worked out very well.

Has anyone purchased full replacement carpet sets ? I would like to hear your experience with vendors you've used.

My Midnight Blue interior carpet is looking faded and I am considering replacing all the carpeting with new.

I bought my rear seat delete from appbiz.com but they have the whole replacement set. The seat delete carpet is not as heavy as the floor carpet but that could be just the portion I bought. Bob - http://appbiz.com/

I bought a excellent grade wool German carpet, and a local shop used the old carpet for the pattern to cut the new carpet. We ended up using the old carpet to increase insulation. The German wool carpet is really nice, but it did not come with a backing and it is thin.

Hope this helps.

If it is just faded, some people here have had good results with dyes. Replacing the carpet just to fix the fade issue would be a lot of work.

Especially with the nasty Porsche glue that binds the carpet to the car!
